How Intergroup Dialogues work

  • Intergroup dialogue brings together students from 2 or more social identity groups into a small, cooperative environment where you'll explore:
    • Social group identity
    • Conflict
    • Community
    • Social justice
  • Trained facilitators representing each identity group encourage dialogue rather than debate. Read about the differences:
  • Intergroup Dialogues are organized around:
    • Multidisciplinary readings (both theoretical and personal narratives)
    • Experiential learning activities
    • A small group project
    • Weekly writing and summative reflections
  • You'll analyze and learn about issues facing groups on campus and in broader society.
