Experiential Learning Cluster

The Student Affairs Experiential Learning (EL) cluster plays a leadership role at UC San Diego in shaping experiences that foster student self-discovery and help develop the personal, academic, and professional skills and relationships needed for a successful transition into diverse and global communities.

Comprised of over 100 career employees and over 200 students, the EL cluster brings together Academic Enrichment Programs (AEP), the Career Services Center (CSC), International Center, and the Office of Academic Support & Instructional Services (OASIS) to accomplish a variety of strategic goals, including:

  • The expansion of workplace learning, international, and volunteer opportunities
  • Enhanced academic partnerships that broaden experiential learning options
  • Enhanced intellectual growth as well as career planning, leadership, and life skills
  • Improved student academic performance and retention

All program units are supported by the cluster's central Business Office (EL-BO) that provides financial, human resource, and technology oversight.
