Can't Sign on to Triton Checklist?

For UC San Diego Triton Checklist users: Find help with log-in and other questions. If you forgot or don't have your PID (student identification number) or password, find out how to get them.

Triton Checklist log-in instructions:

  • If you previously logged on to Triton Checklist, use your UC San Diego User ID/PID (begins with the letter "A") and the password you created.
  • To log in to your Triton Checklist for the first time, use the First Time User? link. You’ll need your 7-digit UC Application Identification Number, which was sent by UC Application Center with your application acknowledgement in November/ December.
  • The first time you log in, you’ll need to enter your email address, date of birth, and city of birth exactly as entered on your UC application. If you don’t remember this information, check your application summary at the UC After you apply web page, then click on Access your application. There you can find your UC application ID, date of birth, city of birth, and email address you provided on your application.

I can't set up my account

Did you get an error when you signed up? If you have tried the various steps, including looking for your original e-mail, then go ahead and e-mail us. You'll need to include the following in your e-mail:

  • The reason you're e-mailing
  • Application ID
  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • City of birth
  • E-mail address on application
  • Current mailing address (as in, where you live)

I need a PID (Personal Identification Number)

Your PID was assigned to you when you first created your Triton Checklist using Applicant Single Sign-On. It starts with the letter 'A', followed by 8 numbers (no spaces).

If you can't remember your user ID/PID

  • Look for the welcome e-mail that we sent to you when your account was set up, which includes your user ID/PID.
  • If you can't find your PID in your e-mail, use the Password Change tool. Enter your UC Application ID and your date of birth, and you'll see your PID.

I forgot my password or my password isn't working

  • Use the Password Change tool. You will be prompted to enter your PID or UC Application ID and your date of birth, and then answer the security question you set up when you first created your Applicant Portal account.
  • Make sure that your password has a maximum of 11 characters. If it's longer, only type the first 11 characters, or if you want to change it, use the Password Change tool.
  • Check for foreign characters in your password. The system will not accept foreign characters.
  • Do not cut and paste your password.

I forgot the answer to my security question

  • Click on Forgot the answer to your security question?, where you will be prompted for information from your UC San Diego Application.
  • Once correct information is entered, you can change your security question and answer.

I can't log in. I get a message that says "unable to validate your PID/PAC"
