What I wish I had known when I was in college: I wish I had known that asking for help wasn't a sign of weakness. I was hesitant to reach out for help because I had always been able to handle school, sports, and my own well-being in high school, and it caused me to take longer to graduate than I should have.

What does being first-generation mean to me? To me, being a first-generation college student means that you are paving the way for not only yourself, but others in the community. This ability to be a pioneer is an amazing strength. #FirstGenSupporterUCSD
