How to join a student organization

  • Look through the list of all registered student organizations. Student organizations will begin registering for the 2023-24 academic year on Monday, August 14. Please be sure to check back regularly throughout the year for the most up-to-date list of registered student organizations!

  • Email the Principal Members directly to find out how to get involved.

  • Attend a general body meeting to see if the organization is a good fit for you.

  • Attend the annual Student Org Info Fair during Week 2, featuring more than 100 student organizations.

  • See what's required of student organization leaders:

    • Principal Members are students who assume responsibility for the organization's events, finances, and more. The university requires at least 3 full-time, registered UCSD students to serve as principal members of each student organization.
    • Community Mentors guide and offer support to students in the organization. A Community Mentor is required for some organization categories.
