The following departments can charge a fee for instructional materials or laboratory supplies:

- Bioengineering
- Division of Biological Sciences
- Chemical Engineering
- Chemistry and Biochemistry
- Computing and the Arts
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
- Music
- Physics
- Theater and Dance
- Visual Arts

- Classes with assessed fees are noted in the Schedule of Classes.
- The fees are assessed when you enroll in the class.
- You can receive a refund if you drop the class during the first two weeks of the quarter.
