April 8, 2025: San Diego County Voters
The special primary election is to fill the vacant seat in the County’s First Supervisorial District for the remainder of the current term ending in January 2029. Only voters residing in the First Supervisorial District are eligible to participate in the election.

- Week of March 10: Ballots mailed to eligible registered voters
- Starting March 11: Drop off your completed ballot or put it in the mail
- Starting March 29: Vote centers open for in-person voting through April 8
- April 8: Election Day
You're eligible to vote if you:
- Are a United States citizen
- Are a resident of California (even if you're a student originally from another state, you can register using your current California college address and you can vote in California)
- Are at least 18 years of age (or will be by the date of the next election)
- Are not in prison or on parole for conviction of a felony
- Have not been judged by a court to be mentally incompetent to register and vote
