California State Veterans Benefits

Learn about California state education benefits for eligible veterans and their families.

California offers one state benefits program, the College Fee Waiver.

UCSD does not determine your eligibility for the Cal Vet College Fee Waiver. Apply through your local California county Veterans Service Office. It will guide you through the process and notify UCSD of your eligibility.

In addition to the state benefit listed here, be sure to read about federal veterans education benefits available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

For additional details, online applications, and forms, contact the California Association of County Veterans Service Officers (CACVSO).
