These undergraduate enrichment programs are designed to help you prepare for education beyond a bachelor's degree.

Summer Training Academy for Research Success (STARS): An 8-week summer research academy for undergraduate students and recent college graduates, open to all disciplines.

University of California Leadership Excellence through Advanced Degrees Program (UC LEADS): This program offers support for upper-division undergraduates majoring in science, engineering, or mathematics who want to pursue a Ph.D.

GradAMP: A free mentorship program that makes graduate education more accessible by helping undergrads with the application process (for upper-division undergraduates majoring in science, engineering, or mathematics who want to pursue a Ph.D.).

Faculty Mentor Program: Juniors and seniors with a GPA of 2.7 or higher can work with faculty mentors on an individual basis.

Health Beat: This centralized pre-med and pre-health advising office at the Career Center offers strategic planning, 4-year plans, resources, events, classes and more to help you become a competitive applicant to medical school or other health professional schools (i.e., pharmacy, dentistry, physician assistant (PA), nursing, occupational therapy/ physical therapy, veterinary medicine, public health and more).

Health and Medical Professions Mentorship Program (HMP3): All students interested in careers in the health professions, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other fields may enroll in this student-run program.

McNair Program: Low-income, first-generation college students and underrepresented minorities can apply for this year-long preparation for doctoral studies.

Medical Education for Diverse Students (MEDS): An all-day conference for pre-med, pre-pharmacy, pre-health students at UC San Diego and neighboring community colleges.
