Graduate Registration Fees

Find tuition and fees for the 2020–2021 academic year for UC San Diego's graduate programs. All fees are subject to change.

Some or all instruction for all or part of Academic Year 2020-2021 may be delivered remotely. Tuition and fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the Academic Year. Figures for tuiton represent currently approved amounts and may not be final. Actual tuition and fees are subject to change by the University of California as determined to be necessary or appropriate. Final approved tuition and fee levels may differ from the amounts presented.

Full payment of all fees is required to complete registration.

Important Notes:

  • Health Insurance: Health insurance is required as a condition of enrollment. Students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) however, students already covered by an insurance plan may qualify for a health fee waiver. Please see the Student Health Insurance Plan page for more information, including waiver criteria, submission process and deadline.

  • CAPS/Student Mental Health Fee: $20.71 per Quarter, effective Fall 2020

  • Non-California Residents:

    • See Residence for Tuition Purposes.

    • Nonresident Supplemental Tuition for graduate students who have advanced to candidacy by the beginning of the term is reduced to $0.00 for a maximum of three (3) consecutive years.
