Prayer, Meditation and Quiet Spaces on Campus

Find places to pray, meditate, or sit in quiet reflection on campus.

The Center for Ethics and Spirituality has a quiet, indoor space for meditation and/or prayer at our location on the second floor of Price Center West.

Visit or contact the Center, and look for these additional meditation spaces on campus:

Geisel Library: Calm Cave and Leisure Lounge

The Spaces-to-Take-a-Break offers a brief retreat from studying where students can relax, breathe deeply, clear their mind, and peruse a variety of mindfulness and wellness books.

Geisel Library’s Leisure Lounge features furniture that can be configured for any number of activities, where students may drop in for quiet meditation, reflection, stress relief, board games, and more.

64 Degrees

64 Degrees in Revelle College (map) has a space for meditation and quiet time that is open during operating hours, with no reservations required.

Contemplation Lounge

The Contemplation Lounge on Price Center West’s third floor is a quiet space to meditate, reflect, pray, or ponder.

Cross-Cultural Center

The Cross-Cultural Center in Price Center East has a Meditation/ Quiet Room for prayer and reflection.

Eighth College/ Theater District Meditation Pavilion

Opening Fall 2024, an outdoor Meditation Pavilion is in the Eighth College/ Theater District Living and Learning Neighborhood between the Pulse and Azad buildings.
