How Upper Division Courses may Overlap (Undergraduates)

The diagrams below are visual representations of allowable overlap of Upper Division (UD) courses between Majors and Minors for Undergraduate programs in accordance with UC San Diego Academic Senate Regulation 600.E.3 as of July, 2024.

Note that the Senate Regulation does not cover the overlap between General Education (GE) courses and Major/Minor courses. This policy varies by College. Please visit your College's website or contact your College Academic Advisors if you have any questions on this.
