Reviewing Academic History
Your Academic History shows your UC San Diego record in one place: your current bookings, past courses, and transfer credit. You can treat it as an unofficial transcript.
Please note: The gaps and limitations listed below are current for Fall 2026 and will be addressed in the future — you'll have access to more data in future terms.
Known Data Gaps and Limitations
A few things aren’t showing in the tool yet. These are expected to be available by the end of Fall Quarter 2026:
-
GPA, academic standing, and class level. These will appear under Cumulative Summary later in Fall 2026.
-
Some late grades. Late Spring and Summer 2026 grades are being added by hand over the coming weeks. This includes study abroad grades, grades from past academic integrity cases, and any grade reported after June 2026.
-
Transfer and test credit for undergraduate students. If your transcript was sent to UC San Diego since June 2026, your transfer coursework and test-based credit may not be posted yet. This applies to new and continuing undergraduate students.
-
Waitlisted courses are not yet visible under Current Bookings. Use your My Courses tile on your Student Overview Homepage to view them.
-
Double major changes processed since June 2026 will be added in the coming weeks.
-
Petition outcomes received since June 2026.
-
Courses taken through the Division of Extended Studies.
-
Academic Events for undergraduate students. If you were admitted for Fall 2026 or later, you can disregard this section for now. Rely on your degree audit instead.
-
Degrees Awarded. Prior UC San Diego degrees may not show here yet. For example, if you are in a combined bachelor’s and master’s program, or you earned a master’s degree on the way to a PhD, that degree may be missing. This information has not been loaded into TSS yet, but will be in the coming months.
Getting Started
Accessing My Academic History
Log in to TSS at sis.ucsd.edu
From your home page in TSS, you can access your Academic History in two ways:
Option 1: Click the Academic History icon under the More Links - Main Campus menu.

Option 2: Use the search field in the upper right corner to find the My Academic History app. Type My Academic History into the search bar and select the My Academic History result.

Primary Tasks
Current Bookings
This shows the courses you're booked in for the current quarter. It doesn't currently include waitlisted courses, and the Waitlisting button is intentionally unavailable. You can view your waitlisted courses under your My Courses tile on your Student Overview Homepage.

The current quarter shows by default. To view another available academic period, select it from the Select Academic Period dropdown. This bar also links to your Schedule view, your appointment times, and the Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) app.

Each course shows your units and grading option. To change your grading option or units for a variable-unit course, select Make Changes next to the applicable course. Note: Deadlines apply, so check the current Booking and Registration Calendar.

If you are not yet booked in courses for the term, the Select Academic Period dropdown may be empty and the section will show No Current Bookings. You can view more information on Booking Courses with TSS.

Schedule
A calendar view of your courses with the day, time, course, instructor, and location is available within the Current Bookings section.
Click Schedule in the top bar of the Current Bookings section to view the schedule tool.

Use the date arrows to move to a date within the current term.

Classes will appear on the calendar at their scheduled times.

Click on the applicable course to see the class details, including the building and room.

Academic History
Academic History shows your past coursework. If you've been a UC San Diego student at more than one level (for example, you attended as both an undergraduate and graduate student), select the program you want to view by selecting the appropriate level tab at the top of the Academic History section.

Each quarter lists the course, title, units, grading option, grade, and grade points earned.

⚠️ Note: CNV means the course was converted from the former student information system. You'll see this under the Grading Option for courses carried over from the former system, such as courses you registered for through WebReg. If a UCSD grade is blank or missing, see Something Missing or Wrong? below.
You can also filter to view your courses By Quarter or By Course, in ascending or descending order. Sort by your preference using the buttons at the top right of the Academic History section.

Cumulative Summary
This shows your overall units and GPA. It’s not available yet in TSS, but is expected later in Fall 2026.
Continuing students can view this in the previous degree audit in MyTritonLink. This is the old degree audit, not the new one in TSS, and it’s only available to continuing students.

External Work
External Work shows your transfer coursework and test-based credit from AP, IB, and A-level exams. Use your degree audit to see how posted credit applies to your degree requirements.
You can view the External Work section by Summary or Detail. Toggle between each view by clicking your desired view.

Summary
Summary shows the school name, the issue date (when the transcript was posted at UC San Diego), and total credits applied to your degree.

⚠️ Be careful with Total Credits: Undergraduate students can transfer a maximum of 105 lower-division units from other colleges to apply toward their UCSD degree. Credit earned at UC campuses and through AP, IB, or A-level exams do not count toward that limit. If you transferred more than 105 lower-division units, use your degree audit to confirm the units for each course and which ones apply to your degree.
Detail
Detail shows every transferred class, sorted by the original school.

- External: Where the credit came from.
- Grade Column (Left): The original course grade or exam score.
- Internal: The UC San Diego equivalent.
- Grade Column (Right): The grade used for your UC San Diego GPA. Courses from schools
outside the UC system always show TR (Transfer) and never count toward your UC GPA.
Does the Internal Column Show XFERLD?
XFERLD means you received lower-division credit, but the course has no direct UC San Diego equivalent.
You'll see XFERLD only once per term, even if several of your courses that term have no direct UC San Diego match. The other courses remain on your record even when XFERLD is not repeated beside each one. Check your degree audit to see how the credit applies to your requirements. In this example, SPAN 3 has no XFERLD because SOCI 1 already has it for Fall 2019.

FYI: Undergraduate Advising Tip: To have a course matched to a specific UC San Diego course for a degree requirement, submit a transfer equivalency petition. The academic department reviews it.
If you think a course should already match (based on assist.org or a department's website), message the academic department through the Virtual Advising Center (vac.ucsd.edu).
You do not need to petition solely because a course shows XFERLD.A petition may be needed if you want the course evaluated as equivalent to a specific UC San Diego course for a degree requirement.
AP and IB Credit for Undergraduates
In this example, AP35 is the AP Macroeconomics exam. The left Grade column is your exam score, and the right Grade column shows TR (Transfer). AP and IB exam credit appear as TR, rather than a letter grade.

Something Missing or Wrong?
If something is missing or looks wrong in the External Work section, follow the instructions below.
Undergraduates: Missing or Inaccurate Transfer Credit (including Test-Based Credit)?
- Students admitted before Fall 2026: Check MyTritonLink Academic History
- If the credit is correct in MyTritonLink but missing or different in TSS, email tss@ucsd.edu with screenshots of what you see in MyTritonLink and TSS.
- If the credit is not posted in MyTritonLink, make sure you have sent the official transcript or exam scores to UC San Diego Admissions. It can take several weeks to post.
- Students admitted Fall 2026 and later: Admissions is still posting records for undergraduate students admitted in Fall 2026. Continue to check your academic history through the Winter 2027 quarter. If all credit from a particular institution or exam provider is missing, first confirm that Admissions has received your official documents by checking the admissions portal.
- If all credit from test scores or a transfer institution is missing, do not submit a ticket. This is due to processing timelines.
- If your coursework is posted but you believe it is incorrect (e.g., the wrong term or not approximated to the course you see on assist.org), contact your academic advisor through the Virtual Advising Center (vac.ucsd.edu). They will work with Admissions and the Registrar to troubleshoot, which may take several weeks.
